Cold Steel Spear with Sheath, Long Shaft

The spear, one of man’s oldest and most reliable weapons, has evolved from early examples of sticks or poles with fire-hardened points to high performance modern spears. With modern cold forging, a process developed by Cold Steel, we are now able to produce affordable, high-quality spears. Our Zulu Assegai [as-uh-gahy] spears are made from SK-5 medium carbon steel, heat treated and drawn to a tough spring temper, designed to flex or bend under impact forces rather than breaking or shattering. The Assegai blade is available with a choice of two different premium American Ash shafts, a shorter model for thrusting or a full-length throwing shaft, and comes complete with a durable Secure-Ex® sheath. Specifications include an overall length of 6 feet 9 1/2 inches, weight of 12.8 ounces, blade length of 13-1/3" (head) - 6 FT 9-1/2", steel of SK5 medium carbon, blade thickness of 2 MM - 2-1/2" wide, and overall weight of 43.2 ounces. The spear also features an American Ash shaft.
