Samburu Spear, One Size

The Samburu tribe occupies the rugged northern frontier of Kenya and consists of tall, lean people who make a living as semi-nomadic herders of various animals such as sheep, goats, donkeys, camels, and cattle. The tribe's warriors, known as "Lmurran," are particularly impressive as they maintain long braided hair and adorn their faces and torsos with intricate patterns made from a cosmetic mixture of animal fat and red ochre. Due to constant threats from predators and raids by bandits known as "Shiftas" from Somalia, the warriors always carry weapons and rarely leave their makeshift huts, called "Kraals," without being armed. Notably, the Samburu warrior's throwing spear measures seven feet long and is considered one of the most advanced spears in the world. This spear is used to fend off leopards, lions, and armed bandits from remarkable distances.

Each Samburu spear is made up of three components: the spearhead welded to a steel shaft, a counter-balancing butt spike, and a U.S.-made hickory handle. These spears are designed for easy transportation and come with a Secure-Ex sheath. Similar to the 300 Winchester Magnum rifle, the Samburu spears can be used for long-range, straight flight, flat trajectory, powerful impact, and deep penetration, making them suitable for hunting various animals. However, while these spears are durable, the shaft and butt spike can be bent and the hickory handle can break, requiring replacements.

The Samburu spears have an overall length of 7 feet, are made from 1055 carbon steel, weigh 2 lbs 8 oz, and feature a U.S.-made hickory handle and Secure-Ex sheath.
